Men

There are activities specifically for men held either regularly (Mens' Breakfasts) or from time to time as the season allows.

Mens' breakfasts were held every two months at Barnsgate Manor Vineyard, set amidst the beautiful Sussex countryside. Unfortunately this venue closed due to the pandemic. The pattern was a good English breakfast, followed by a interesting and challenging speaker, specifically discussing issues related to men.

`Macho' Christianity

Male worshippers like to sing "proper macho songs" in church and feel uncomfortable with hugging, holding hands or sitting in circles discussing their feelings, according to a study. A survey of readers of the Christian men's magazine Sorted found 60 per cent did not like flowers and embroidered banners in church. A similar number preferred "proclamational" hymns to emotional songs.
